We have broken one of our primary rules (never read a WIP) for A Wall of Stars. Far from just another Destiel AU, this is a compelling story full of intrigue, family secrets, and a slow-burn romance. It is well-written and, while it is an AU, everyone is true to character. This is one of those rare stories where we are torn between desperately wanting to find out how it ends and not wanting it to end at all.

Dean is the master of holding things together. He does it when his brother Sam quits law school to self-destruct with the wild Ruby. He does it when his father's burned journals arrive at his door, and when he finds himself getting close to restoration expert Castiel. He does it in the face of many mysteries held by Castiel's cousin Anna. But the papers contain secrets, buried for years, that will bring Dean and Cas together and simultaneously threaten to tear them apart.
